Children and young people enjoy a wide range of social media to explore, learn and communicate across multiple platforms. From live streaming to messaging services, movies to photo sharing, news to education, they are both consumers and creators of content from an early age. But whilst digital freedom provides a wealth of learning opportunities, it has also thrown up a myriad of challenges to navigate from easy access to inappropriate content to the risks of online grooming and bullying.
Looking training programmes? Click Academy features sector leading F2F and Webinar training programmes in social care and education.
This introductory webinar explores how young people use social media and the platforms they choose, why it has become so integral to their daily lives and tips for positive conversations about online safety to raise awareness about the risks, without shame or blame, and build the critical thinking skills to questions what they see and make healthy choices to keep safe.
The cost of this is £7.99 per person but if you book before 14th February, you will receive our early bird price of £5.99. We hope that you will join us for this session.
