Course overview of Advanced Safeguarding Children and Young People
Our Advanced Safeguarding Children and Young People Course covers safeguarding responsibilities in residential childcare, explaining how to protect children from harm, recognise and respond to abuse (including online risks), and support children’s safety, resilience and wellbeing.
Furthermore, this course has been specifically designed to map to the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) - unit 2: Understand how to safeguard and protect children and young people in residential childcare.

- How to empower CYP to develop strategies to protect their own safety and wellbeing

Aims of Advanced Safeguarding Children and Young People course
This Advanced Safeguarding Children Course will help you to:
- Develop your understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in residential childcare, in line with Unit 2 of the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England).
- Recognise, respond to and report concerns about abuse, exploitation and harm, meeting the knowledge and practice requirements of Unit 2.
- Apply safeguarding policies, procedures and professional standards to protect children and young people and promote their wellbeing, as required by the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England).
