Course overview of Basic Life Support

Our Basic Life Support (BLS) Course gives you the essential skills to recognise an emergency and take action. You will learn how to perform CPR, manage an obstructed airway, use automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and support an unconscious casualty.

This BLS training provides clear, practical steps so you can respond quickly and effectively, helping to save a life until professional help arrives.

Also, this course works as a refresher for staff who already hold a regulated First Aid qualification under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommends annual refresher training to keep life-saving skills and knowledge sharp.

Although this course provides a solid foundation, it is not a substitute for full first aid training.
