Course overview of Food, Nutrition And Associated Behaviours
Many children and young people come into care with a poor nutritional status. They often have food anxieties (such as overeating or hoarding food) which can be linked to early experiences of abuse or neglect.

This course will cover:
- Why healthy eating matters
- What is healthy eating
- What the main food groups are and the nutrition they provide
- How to encourage children and young people to eat well
- Healthy body weight
- Food allergies and intolerances
- Why and how to get children to be more active

Aims of Food, Nutrition And Associated Behaviours course
