Course overview of Manual Handling

Our Manual Handling Course provides the knowledge and skills to carry out safe moving and handling at work. According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), handling, lifting or carrying are among the most common causes of workplace injury. In other words, unsafe techniques increase the risk of injury for staff and can create hazards in care environments.

By completing the course, you will learn safe manual handling techniques that reduce risk, prevent injury, and improve workplace safety.

Manual Handling of Objects Training

Manual Handling of Objects training is a legal requirement. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (MHOR) set out responsibilities for reducing risk. Additionally, these are supported by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and Council Directive 90/269/EEC, which require safe systems of work and effective control measures.

This course is part of our Adult Social Care Mandatory Training bundle, guided by Skills for Care in their statutory and mandatory training guide for adult social care workers.

If your organisation uses its own LMS, the course is available as a SCORM file. To integrate it into your system, please contact us.
