Course overview of Suicide Awareness And Prevention
Suicide is a really difficult subject, conversations about mental health are now more common but talking about suicide remains a taboo subject.
However suicide is the leading cause of death among young people. Therefore it is important that we start to talk more openly with young people. Furthermore, many young suicides are preventable and the key is education and awareness. In this course we look at how to talk to young people about suicide, the language to use and how to support them to create a safety plan, building in barriers and interruptions to help prevent suicide.
This course is coming very soon to the Residential Childcare online learning package. If you are a current customer, this course will be added to your learning portfolio when it releases in 2024.
