Support Young People with Complex Disabilities into Adulthood Course

In this course we will be looking at how young people become adults, the challenges this presents for young people with complex disabilities or conditions and how we support them to negotiate these challenges.

The ability to reflect on our own practice is crucial in how we learn and develop, therefore we’ll also be looking at the benefits of this and how we adopt or improve this practice.

By the end of the training course, you will:

This training course has been designed specifically for people working with children and young people and provides focus on residential settings. It may also be useful to a wider audience of people who would like to know more about supporting young people with complex disabilities or conditions to transition in adulthood. The training course provides content to support qualification units relating to residential childcare.
