Aims of Supporting Personal Relationships course
By the end of the cour you should have developed a basic understanding of the following:
- Understand and describe personal relationships, what they mean to someone and what you can do to support someone
- Describe some of the challenges faced by people who access care support in relation to personal relationships and sexual expression
- Explain sexuality, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender diversity: what it means to be trans or have a non-binary gender identity.
- Identify appropriate language and terminology.
- Describe legal framework for working including the Human Rights Act and the Care Act
