Overview of Advanced Diploma in Expert Practice in Work with Traumatised Children
This bespoke, multi-agency Level 4 qualification is suitable for all professionals working with traumatised children and young people. The Expert Practice in Work with Traumatised Children Diploma programme is completed online, giving learners the flexibility to access the course content whenever and wherever they choose.
Students can work through the programme at their own pace, although the course must be completed within two years (many people finish ahead of schedule). During this time, learners will be supported by a tutor who will guide them through the programme, assess their assignments and provide practical feedback and advice.
The mandatory course units cover attachment, trauma and resilience, including how to prepare for the transition to adult life. Optional units include working with disabled and traumatised children and young people; sexually traumatised children and young people; and children and young people affected by parental issues.
If you work or engage with traumatised children, our Level 4 diploma will equip you with the advanced tools, information and strategies you need to better support them.
