Overview of Reflection on Childhood Attachment Tool
This course aims to enable social work teams and staff to work with parents and foster parents to help them to understand how child attachment experiences affect the way they deal with challenges as an adult. We believe this reflection process is key to helping foster parents provide the best possible care.
Developed by experts in dyadic developmental practices, PACE and mindful parenting, our informative assessment tool allows would-be foster carers to reflect on their own experiences of childhood attachment. As part of this process, participants are invited to consider how past childhood experiences might shape the way they approach challenges and potentially manage children in their care.
The Reflection on Childhood Attachment Tool consists of an introductory online session, a 1.5-day face-to-face session, and a two-hour follow-up webinar.
