Overview of Raising Attendance and Reducing Exclusions through Relational Practice (RRR)

This Raising Attendance and Reducing Exclusions through Relational Practice programme has been developed for educators by educators, to equip school staff with the knowledge and skills to embed relationship-based approaches into their school setting, ensuring students feel valued, included and supported.

Attendance and exclusion rates in education remain critical. This programme supports a fundamental shift towards relational practice as a driver of student engagement and academic success.

Backed by extensive research, it provides practical strategies and addresses barriers to inclusion and attendance while promoting systemic change at both operational and strategic levels. Covering neuroscience, relational barriers and practical strategies, it provides the tools to create a culture of belonging, connection and inclusion – benefiting students, staff and the entire school community.

Delivered in one full-day, in-person session for all school staff, and one follow-up half day for SLT, the RRR programme also offers access to our Click eLearning courses: Reducing Exclusions through Relational Practice and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), offering flexible, on-demand follow-up learning.

Practical tools are also provided, including an audit tool, action plans and real-life examples to implement immediately.
