Overview of The Defuse & De-escalation Programme
The Defuse & De-Escalation Programme provide foster carers with the tools they need to be able to effectively defuse potentially volatile situations with the children and young people they are caring for.
Hosted by Andy Privett from Streetwise 365, foster carers will learn how to deal effectively and appropriately with young people who are presenting aggressive and confrontational behaviour. As well as skills and strategies for dealing with challenging and unpredictable situations. In addition to this, it will also look at how to build positive relationships with the young people they are supporting.
Finally, there are two programme packages available. The Silver package gives foster carers access to the online course only, and the Gold package not only gives access to the online course but also the opportunity of joining a monthly webinar hosted by Andy.
